Dental Implants for Lititz and Lancaster Residents
Is your smile incomplete? In the past, your best options for a complete smile were limited to options like fixed bridges, partial dentures, or full dentures. That’s no longer the case. With dental implants, it’s possible to enjoy superior results than any you could ever have with traditional tooth replacement.
Dental implants are versatile enough to work in a variety of cases. Whether you need to replace just a single tooth, a few teeth, or a full row of teeth, implants provide the help you’re looking for.
Benefits of Dental Implants
What makes dental implants so effective? The secret lies in their structure. An implant-supported crown, bridge, or denture has a structure that mimics the crown-and-root structure of natural teeth. This results in not only a more lifelike appearance but also improved functionality.
Imagine yourself finally enjoying the kind of diet you once enjoyed, before your smile changed. With dental implants, that’s what you can look forward to. With your fully functional smile, you can eat your favorite foods again, and you smile and laugh with confidence.
Dental Implant Procedure
Whether you’re using dental implants to replace a single tooth or a full row of teeth, your treatment will be completed over two phases spanning several months. The first stage involves the surgical placement of one or more dental implants. The number of implants you receive is determined during your initial consultation. A single implant supports a crown while multiple implants support a partial or full denture.
Many practices aren’t able to perform this aspect of treatment. Placing implants requires extensive surgical experience, and many dentists don’t have that level of expertise. As a result, most placement procedures are carried out in a separate practice by an oral surgeon. That’s not the case at Mor Smiles. Dr. Moriarty is proud to offer full-service implant dentistry, including placement, at his Lititz, PA dental office. This means that instead of visiting an office you’ve never been to for help, your procedure will be completed by the team you already know and trust.
Following your procedure, we’ll give your mouth time to heal. Over the following weeks and months, your implant(s) fuse with your jawbone, a process that is known as osseointegration. Once this process is complete, you’ll return to our Lititz office to begin the second phase of your treatment. By the end of this phase, your new prosthetic is attached, and your smile is complete again.
